The article literally states for the manipulator to target, shy, inexperienced and young guys.
So this might be guys who have no experience with girls at all. Their initial impressions of a relationship with a pretty girl who is just using him will turn out to be negative. This will lead that guy to develop trust issues with girls in general.

The type of girl who does this manipulation is just like the same type of guy who seduces shy, inexperienced and young girls pretending he loves, when he really just wants to have sex with them.

Shy, inexperienced guys need good experiences to prove themselves wrong and to come out of their shell. This kind of idea can turn a man to the dark side of woman-hating or becoming womanizers. Both sides are unhealthy, even the womanizers, who resort to PUA tactics to trick and play women.

Shy guys need good social contacts who understand their need for good experiences and have enough compassion to be patient with their fellow humans. Not talking about pity fucks or anything of that sort. Talking about real genuine interest, whether friendly or romantic.
