I saw my ex at the club but he didn't talk to me. What was he thinking?

I saw my old flame out the other night. This is a couple months after I sent him a DM and got ignored. I haven't seen him in almost a year.

I felt really awkward seeing him so I purposely avoided him and ignored him. I just didn't want to get hurt again so I decided I would have fun. Since he ignored me over social media, I wouldn't feel comfortable going and talking to him anyway. I just wanted to avoid the situation

It was a pretty big club so I just went to the other side of the room but he followed. Now that could have been a coincidence but I moved around 3 times and each time I did he was like 50 ft away from me. He kept staring at me all night and it was really awkward for me. I don't know what the purpose of that was... I thought he would just ignore me and go about as usual I can't understand his behavior.

Why would he stare at me and follow me around all night but not speak when he ignored me a couple months ago?

I had the same with a girl I met years ago, and met her again recently.

I didn't know what to say to her and just looked at her.

My thoughts were:

Is that her? Should I speak to her? What is she doing here? Does she want something from me? Why can't she give me a sign or something?

Needless to say neither of us didn't speak to each other:

Later I thought about, what the chances are that you would see someone again in a city of millions.
I regret it now, that I didn't speak to her.

But I found out that she has married and a child boy. She just wanted friendship, which broke my heart because I got my hopes up.

Maybe didn't get the DM whatever that is. You shouldn't have played games if it was going to bother you. You should have talked to him eventually and found out. Now you may never know. Be true to yourself.

I know he got it. You can tell when someone reads it it will show up as seen. It might be playing games but I really don't want to overextend myself to a guy who doesn't care about responding to me. I'm not gonna make myself look stupid by approaching him when he chose to ignore me online. Being true to myself is not look like a fool, but thanks for your response.
