Thats kind of weird to me, because I always thought that guys always text first if its not his girlfriend, and thats what I do. But give it a day or two and don't text him. I know its going to be hard because you feel that you need to talk to him. But try not texting him for a day and see if he does first. If he asks you why you didn't text him, tell him you forgot or was tired.
i think it might be he doesn't like texting or he might just be really bussy, work and im assuming school can take up a lot of time... but there is a chance he just finds the conversations interesting but as if they are not going any where
Don't text him, delete his number so you don't give in to temptation and see if he bothers texting you. If he doesn't text you then you obviously don't mean all that much to him.
dont be responsive anymore, let him be the one who make the move.

Ik imma girl but clearly he don’t like u enough to go after u or pursue u on his own time. but if u hit him up then he’s gonna entertain u in hopes of getting some easy p****. He’s not willing to put the work in for u but if u willing to put the work in for him then he’s gonna accept the attention. In other words it’s “ I’m not that into u but if u wanna give me some p*** that’s cool”
Yeah I had to learn the difference between a guy that entertains me and a guy that really wants me. I once had a boyfriend where I had to put in most of the work like texting , calling , coming to see him. He would go 3 days without talking to me if I didn’t text him first. Then later in life I experienced the feeling of when a man really wants u. My current boyfriend put in a lot of work to get me. Before he was even my boyfriend He planned dates , brought me lunch at work on my break , took me on dates , called me on breaks , called me just because or because something in his day irritated him, he’d text me good morning everyday on time like clock work for months. He was on it I had no choice but to stop talking to other guys because they weren’t putting in as much effort as he was at all ! And that’s the Energy u need. U can still text him first sometimes but most of the time if a man really wants u he’s not gonna be fuckin around with u.
Obviously, he is playing "hard to get game". So its a good sign actually but can be annoying and confusing. Just ignore him for a day or two or three, and trust me, he will be panicked and curious and wanting to get closer with you more. Be mysterious. But don't try and ignore him too damn much, just balance it out, and don't be afraid to give me a radio silence for a day or two in a week. Hopefully, he won't be too clingy eventually... You will see.. =)
I am also curious about this behavior. I have a “friend “ that said he likes me but doesn’t text first but responds quickly and is always interested.
if I don’t text him for a week then I see him he is always concerned. And I usually think well why don’t you text me but I haven’t asked him. So I don't know.

He’s shy. He doesn’t want to risk rejection by texting first.
I feel like he's trying to play it hard, like he doesn't want to seem like he's running behind you. I'd suggest you not to text him for a couple time, that might catch his attention and he'll probably decide to text you first.
Give it more time maybe he's trying to figure out if you like him
And don't over think things
It doesn't necessarily mean anything beyond the obvious, that you always message first.
Maybe he is busy. You should send texts
