So I am a second year uni students and last year I met a guy, but we weren't really talking. He did an exchange semester and came back only a month ago. We saw each other at a party and he asked me out. We went on a date, it went great. The next day he texted me that he had a really nice time, but after this the conversation kinda died out and I ended up leaving him on red. We haven't talked for 2 days. Can I text him first saying something funny or wait for him to text me first.
If you are interested in continuing to talk to this guy, there is nothing wrong with texting him first. You can start with a casual conversation or reference something funny that you both talked about during your date to break the ice. It's possible that he is also waiting for you to make the first move, so there's no harm in being proactive. If he responds positively, you can continue the conversation from there and see where it leads. If he doesn't respond, then you can move on knowing that you tried. Remember, communication is key in any relationship, so don't be afraid to initiate it.

Don’t overthink it and just reach out if that’s what you wanna do. Also to be fair, he texted you first last time and you did leave him on read. Balls in your court.
Just text him hi how are you or how is it going? Would you like to hang out or something around those lines. He had a good time so he will be more than ok
