Why do guys like thigh high socks?

So I have these thigh high socks, which I love. Sometimes I wear them to school with a dress, skirt or shorts. Whenever I wear the socks I get a whole lot of attention. Like everyone just stares at me. Especially guys. My friend said guys think thigh high socks are attractive. But, what makes them attractive to you?
