Honeymoon period over or is he just losing interest?

I am strongly questioning myself, is he losing interest in me or is the honeymoon phase over? I am together with my boyfriend for a half year now, but we live 2 hours away from eachother. In the beginning he texted me every day telling me how he feels about me, how crazy he js about me, how excited he is to seeing me again, how he hoped we will be together for a long time and more stuff like this. He already told me he loves me and when were together its always so nice, and we feel very comfertable. We can laugh for hours but also have serious conversations. Also he is very affectionate when we are together and shows me he really cares about me. Recently things just changed. He doesn't really makes an afford to text me anymore. He text me like 4 times a week, in the evening a how are you doing and then we will talk. Also when we are together its like we are just friends. The romance is getting less. Im very upset because of the LDR, texting is our way to communicate because se see eachother once every 2 weeks. When i ask him he says he loves me and he never felt about a hirl the way he feels about me, and everything just feels right. Is it normal for a guy to drop the texting or should i be worried?

Ok here's a little update, he told me he needs a break through Skype, i was in tears and he was as cold as ice. Pretty sure this will be the end.

The honeymoon period is over, and sometimes that can make or break a relationship.

I've just read your update, and I'm sorry, I think you're correct. Long distance relationships generally don't work. But it's down to the people, how long they've been together, if they saw each other before the relationship started etc.
The problem with long distance is it can be fine but people long for physical intimacy. It can be as simple as his female friend stays over a lot, and then they ended up getting closer and he's wishing for more, wants to give her a chance instead. Of course, she may not feel the same.

To answer your last question, yes it's usual for a guy to drop off a bit. At the start of the relationship you are happy and you want to keep that person interested, you are always thinking of each other. As the honeymoon period ends and it becomes a relationship rather than a passion-fuelled fling, things like the boss asking you do get that report done by the end of the day, doing your chores, having some chill time by yourself to get over your week's work takes over from asking your darling to dictate everything they've eaten that day. The best thing to do is to be busy yourself and just appreciate that when something is important and urgent they will pick up the phone but not over "what did you have for lunch"

Well we knew eachother for 2 years, we always knew we were going to end up with eachother because from the moment we met we just clicked. We were unseperate since. But we were on holiday and we knew things were going to change. We were both in our senior year so we decided to end things and focus on school. In the mean time we didn't contact eachother and we both dated other people. That made us realise that what we had, was so special and unique, we werent going to find it elsewhere. So we met up, and since day 1 of summer break we were together. But when normal life starts, he is very busy. He works 6 days a week and im still going to collage. We still love eachother be he doesn't want to give up his dream job for me and he has just too little time for me. Thanks for your responce.

I do understand your viewpoint. I went through it with my ex. We were together 5 and a half years, in that time we did have a break and he saw other people, we ended up together.

However, he ended our relationship via text to tell me he was cheating on me with a minor. I'm just saying be aware.

If he says everything is fine, take his word for it and don't worry. Perhaps he is busy, or struggling with the distance and is missing you. Is there any way you can see him more often?

No, and he just told me he needs a break from me. Pretty sure he met someone else, because he didn't show any emotion while i was crying.

Don't be worried I have no experience but from my point of view I'm having the same thing with my gf but still early in the relationship so will have to wait to see also do you put ️xxx in your messages this to me says I care and read the message and took it to heart. My gf stops now and then with xx after messages and sometimes I think ooh have I done something wrong. Hope this helps a little 😀

I have done this twice im afraid.. it is just the end of your honeymoon period.. guys lose the will for a short while, it'll pick back up after a year or so, if it doesn't, try experimentation in the bedroom
