Confidence doesn't mean a lack of nervousness or emotion. It's simply the choice and ability to act how you want to despite those emotions. The effects tend to be mitigated, not absent. If I'm not feeling any tinge of emotion, it probably means I don't care.

When you get on stage in front of hundreds or thousands of people, it's the same feeling as talking to a girl who excites you--when you're inexperienced, it's nerve wracking, but as you gain experience and find out what works, the nervousness remains, but it becomes something that excites and motivates you rather than being frightening.

@lucrecia3 It depends more on what the guy is looking for in a girl. If the girl has all that he's looking for, if he thinks she's perfect, he will definitely get nervous when talking to her.
So just focus on being the best you you can be, be the best person you can possibly be, and you'll be "that girl".

Did in my early years. Now one woman is the same as another in my eyes. The novelty has worn off after years of exposure.

The problem is that attraction wears off after a while. It gets replaced by something deeper or by nothing at all. If it's deeper i have a strong connection with the woman and i am no longer nervous by that point. I don't get nervous in the initial stages any more because i've been attracted to many women so i am used to the process (after all, confidence is just a lesson well learnt) so i suppose, yes, you could say i see attraction as a novelty... something or nothing can come from attraction but thats no need to lose my sense of self.

In the past I would break down and just get nervous and have no confidence ( which is how girls want average guys to feel) but now that's changed, I can over power a girls looks and no longer intimidated.
