Guy won't follow me back on instagram?

He always stares at me and either looks away really fast or keeps looking into my eyes. When I talked to him he couldn't look me in the eyes... And the other day I was laughing at something and he looked over at me and smiled when I noticed he looked away and touched his hair... And today my friend noticed him looking at me a ton and when he saw my friend notice that she saw him looking at me he looked away. He's following that friend on instagram but not me?

He's probably shy. I think you should try talking to him, something really casual, do small talk about something of school or anything else you guys have in common then tell him you have to go so that he'll stay wanting to talk to you and he feels more confident about doing it. Maybe he'll follow you. Do you already follow him? Maybe he already follows you back and you never realized it. That happened to me with the boy I like

Any small talk will really get a shy guy to consider you, even if they weren't beforehand. She knows what she's talking about.

I just followed him and we were friend in 7th grade (A while ago) so we know each other... How would that make him shy though?

I thought he's shy because he smiles and states but hasn't approached you yet so his probably nervous. Make him know there is no problem if he talks to you and to do that you should start the conversation first, just casual small talk

Yeah he rarely ever posts anything. I just looked and he's had it for 140 wks. and only posted 84 things.
But if he likes me.. Wouldn't he want to follow me back?

If he likes you he'll try to talk to you or because he's shy wait for you to talk to him. Instagram its not really a big deal and if he barely posts probably he doesn't mind at all about who he follows or who he doesn't dont stress about it

Okk I will. What really bugs me though is he follows back every girl he knows or has class with but not me.. Except some he doesn't want to... and he's pretty popular ( I am too but..) we don't hang out in the same friend group
