Guys, why a guy friend won't follow me back on Instagram?

I am friend with this guy like 3 months and when I asked him to follow me back on Instagram he said ''let me think about for few days'' what that was supposed to mean?

the moment you ask anyone why haven't you followed me back he/she automatically knows your desperate... not a good look for anyone.

if you follow someone n they don't follow you back or "they're thinking about it" just unfollow them... a true friend won't play these games with you they'll just follow back.

its never that serious.
