If a guy sticks around after a one night stand?

I had a one night stand around 5 months ago but ever since we've been keeping in touch. We text a lot, hang out sometimes (not too often because of his work) and well we do still have sex. When we are together, even if in public, we act like a couple, kiss, hold hands, hug.
I read many stories of guys disappearing after sex. Especially ONS.

Why did my guy stick around for so long?

You'd surprised how many one night stands turn into more. It happens. Maybe the attraction was purely physical and he found out you're actually worth the sticking around.

No, of course not. He says he cares about me but he doesn't want a relationship because he is leaving for another country for his job soon. I just don't know if he likes me or still in it for sex.

well one way to find out. Cut off the sex for a bit and see how he reacts. If it's just the sex he wants, he'll act accordingly within a few hours (if not instantly lol).

That's not a one night stand. That's sex that caused an attachment to form. The point of a ONS is to never see or talk to them again to avoid such attachments. Ask him what he wants.
