My friend "accidentally" said "I love you"?

My best guy friend drove me home after spending the whole day together at a festival with friends and his family and said "Bye, I love you" right away he was super embarrassed and was saying "it just slipped" and he had no idea why he said that to me. He was like "Wow, umm I don't know why I said that umm ugh yeah, Yeah umm sorry it just slippped. Wow man I umm... don't over think it I don't want you to umm stay up all night." I just laughted it off I kept telling him its alright not to worry about it, but he was trying really hard to convince me otherwise by saying "Yeah umm I think its just because we said bye to my parets ummm yeah, Bye" A lot of "umms" and "ugh" if you understand. His cousin told me that he might have had a crush on me in the past but that was awhile ago and never confirmed. What do you? Also guys have you ever told that to a girl and it just slipped? If so was it just a random slip or did you secretly like her? If so how did you react? Girls did this ever happen to you too.

I don't know since I don't know either of you or the back ground or the situation I can't say for sure, but I do know accidentally saying "I love you" can happen. I once said "I love you" to a telemarketer by mistake. Never was I so happy to hang up a telephone before. When it's a routine that you do all the time it tends to slip. I always make sure I let the people I love know that I love them because you never know what will happen in life. However that means I say it an awful lot which means accidents happen lol. Anyway he said not to stay up all night worried about it so even if he did mean it, he's not ready for you to know that information yet so don't drive yourself crazy. If and when he is ready to tell you, I promise it will be worth waiting for it. When someone tells you they love you for the first time and truly mean it, it's always very special.

One time this guy told me, " That's why I love you" but then he got pretty quiet and i just ignored it because I assumed he didn't mean it. It think your guy probably has a thing for you

Hmm yes I've had guys friend say I love you, but it was normal for me. Accident? I highly doubt your friend said it by accident 😏😊
