Signs a shy coworker is interested in you?

I work with this guy who is on the shyer side. What are some signs he might have feelings for me? Also would age difference possibly make the signs different? (I'm 21 and he's 32) he teases me a lot but I feel like he might be reluctant in making his feelings known.

Teasing is a sign. But do you feel the same? If you do you could just suggest doing something outside of work. Nothing big, just go somewhere for lunch. If you want signs though. He will go out of his way to see you or say hi.

I don't know how to suggest something without coming off too strong. And he kind of goes out of his way some days but other days he doesn't. Whenever we're talking though we're always joking around and he's always staring at me

Im kind of in the same situation as you. Its very similar as far as age except we are a few years closer, but we are both shy. If I put myself in his shoes then you suggesting something would not come across as too strong. Unless your like, "Your gonna go to dinner with me tomorrow.". SOMEONE has to make a move. And It doesn't have to be a big deal. Bring someplace you like to eat and unless he says he hates it just say you should go sometime. If he likes you hell take the bait.

Any tips on how to push him to make the move? I just don't think I'm brave enough to say the first thing

Talk about stuff you like to do. Or stuff you know he likes to do. Like if he says he wants to see a certain movie you say you wanna see it too. Stuff like that, just make yourself available. He should figure it out.

The age difference can be a factor when it's that large. He could be trying not to come off as a creep. Make sure you let him know you enjoy him teasing you, so he knows it's ok to go further.

Yeah I try and flirt back but I'm definitely not overly so because I'm shy as well.

Ah he always stares at me! I don't think I'm ballsy enough to say that though haha

Kind of but no at the same time. When we actually do talk we definitely have this chemistry and we're always laughing. It's just hard because it goes so hot and cold and I'm not sure if he has any idea how I'm feeling and he might be assuming I'm not interested due to the age difference
