What's the behaviour difference?

Let me speak as my experience from shy guy...
A crushing shy guy wants to date his crush, but lacks the motivation. Therefore, unlike someone uninterested, if the crush asks the shy gut out, shy guy will say yes.
Before that though, a shy guy will often times do small things that confuse girls. The shy guy mentality is "oh, if she realizes I like her, I'll be so embarassed." That being said, he will do things like...

1.) Stare at her while trying not to be seen. Maybe it will be glances
2.) Some will blush if their crush speaks to them or if they say something shocking to them.
3.) Often it is a kind of forced social push when the shy guy's crush is next to him. He wants to show he isn't anti-social so he'll try and talk to you or show off in small ways. So he'll be nervous. If you are talking to a dude tho, chances are he will back down.
4.) Not all, but some shy guys feel a lot more comfortable with text. So texting him will suddenly make him sound more social.
5.) Remember-- making a first move on a shy guy is about the best thing you can do. Often times it will take a long time, if ever, for them to build up courage.

Maybe it was just me and how I act myself, but shy guys also smile a ton around their crushes. Kind of a nervous smile, I don't know. But it is like an uncontrollable smile haha

I just went through this with my now boyfriend. We went back and forth without really knowing where we each stood.
he's a shy person and these were my clues: does he either talk more or less around you? If he can talk to others fine but not to you then he's nervous around you, but here's the catch if he's talking around you but just not as much as others then that can be another clue.
If you catch him smiling at you even for a second that big in shy guy.
Also if he remembers little things from when you talk then thats a giant clue.
It took us months to figure each other out so...

Wellll... Around me, he doesn't say a word. Once he said my name to talk to me but I was too nervous so I never answered.. But he was really quiet. I feel bad. He is always quiet though. But then when other people talk to him he talks a little bit, even makes jokes.
And he doesn't really smile at me, I've caught him staring a few times. Maybe a couple of times he was smiling but maybe he was already smiling and then I saw him looking at me? Anyway e usually looks at me with this confused kinda face? I don't know how to explain jt

At a distance, there is no difference. Up close, you have to initiate alone time and be open. Not interested will reject you and make excuses, shy won't.

The ones I have noticed gives that cute shy smile when someone or anyone teases him about his crush. He does not say things like, "Stop, I don't."
