I’ve only dated one guy my entire life, and my ex was a by the books narcissist. So all I know is a guy who abused and neglected me.
My friend has been trying to set me up with this guy and I’ve talked to him on & off for a while. My friend says he’s shy. It also seems like he’s a little bit of a bad texter. As in, it’s hard to respond to some of his texts. He’ll never “end” a conversation or leave me on read but his responses can be so dry sometimes but then it seems like he doesn't want the convo to end haha. He also likes all my posts if that makes a difference.
I’m pretty interested in this guy there's clear attraction for both. However, i’m always the one to message him first and lead conversation which is hard especially over text, and I’m shy too. He hasn’t asked me out, but that could be bc of covid and bc he asked me out a few years ago but I said no because i was in a relationship with my narc ex.
I can’t tell if he’s shy and likes me messaging or if maybe he’s like my ex lol just likes attention of a girl chasing him. I don't know i’m new to dating please don’t be harsh!! Genuinely confused. Any advice from someone who is also shy?
