Guys, Advice needed on shy guys and FWB?

I've been seeing this really shy guy.

this all started back in the beginning of April.

I just wanna know how i can tell if he's starting to like me or if its becoming kinda like a relationship?

I've noticed he acts a lot nicer than he did in the beginning (talks more, asks about my day, how im feeling, asks about work, tries to keep conversation going). He seems more comfy with me (second girl he's had sex with). when we hung out in the beginning, he was super quiet & rarely talked.(was mostly me talking)
Im not use to the whole friends with benefits thing but i want advice to keep this going & how to keep things interesting. Whats normal, what isn't in this type of thing.

Tips, tricks and stuff to help a friends with benefits last a while is awesome too!

also, how do i not catch feelings? I honestly think im starting to like him and i told him i thought i was but wasn't sure but i wasn't going to try to date him, i wanted to keep good communication and understanding & all his response was "oh okay".

When his phone got shut off, we would use Facebook to keep contact until he got his phone turned back on. We text a lot. He texts me until he falls asleep.

He's shy. I also won't want to get into a relationship yet. Take it slow. Your doing fine as long as your still together. Try spending time together then get away for a few days. He's sure to text you.
