!! Guys, why do some guys lash out on a womans appearance?

So my brothers friend is the biggest douche bag and my brother looks up to him. I've told my brother, "yea he's attractive but his personality is so douchey and self centered it turns me off." My brother replies, "well you're not his type anyways." Thrown off by what he said I ask, "he has a type?" "Yea, you're just not an undewear model." "So you're saying he thinks I'm fat?" "He doesn't think you're fat. You're just not perfect looking." I have a weird feeling my brother said something to him because his comments were just ridiculous. Yea I'm not perfect, nobody is! If you live your life beleiving your soulmate has to look like an underwear model with a perfect face you are shallow and a douche in my oppinion. These are the type of people that ruin society based off of an idea or fantasy of "the perfect woman." If you're not attracted to the chick and she's not attracted to you why do you have to be rude about it? You might think I'm a hypocrite for saying that because i started it saying I didn't like his personality. I don't think what I said was hurtful but if he does feel rejected in any way why lash out on the girl to make her feel insecure? I don't know why but I remember guys treating me like this in high school. A guy asked me something but I couldn't hear him and he felt like I rejected him or something so he yells at me saying, "you're fat anyways!" "I didn't hear you." "You're Fat! Do you hear me now? You're fat!" If 120 lbs is fat...
