If a girl randomly texts you (when most of the time you text first) does this mean she's maybe interested?

So I've been talking to this girl for a few weeks now. We go to the same school and we're friends on Facebook but haven't talked much in person. She's a shy kind of girl but she's fun to talk to. So we text a decent amount of the time. I'm usually the one who makes the first text and we'll talk for a while..on two different occasions through this time period she has texted me randomly usually about something jokingly.

Trust me, I don't text her every day so if it sounds like that..no. What I'll do is text her one day, text her again the next then wait a day or two and do it again. I don't have a "pattern"..it's just random. Well I decided I would text her 4 nights ago..then wait a few days and see what happens. Monday night I told her about a concert that would be coming to our area. I guess she texted me back but her phone wasn't working so I never got it.

So the next night she sent me a text like "so you tease me last night and then never text me back...jerk :p" and we talk for the rest of the night.

Does this mean she was thinking about me during the day and might be sorta interested? Girls or guys answers would be appreciated!

I think that she is interested but is afraid to take that step into becoming more than friends. If she is shy she is not going to just come out and tell you that she likes you. Just take it slow. Friends first and then see what comes after tha. Ask her out on a date when you feel the time is right.

She does seem to be interested in your friendship considering the fact that she does have an open communication thing going on with you on a daily basis. I think she is trying to feel more comfortable with you as friends first, maybe she could be seeking something more later on.
