If this ranking system by analogy to baboons has any meaning for humans it's not much to do with attractiveness but social role. In the case of baboons a beta can become an alpha if there is a 'leopard accident' nearly everyone has some leadership potential, some aggressiveness, it's a question of how aggressive the other members of your troop are.
