My 16 almost 17 year old brother never flushes the toilet?

It iritates me every time I go to use the bathroom I have to see his pee or poop. He doesn't flush. What's so hard about pressing a button. Takes two seconds. Even when I ask him to or my mom does he doesn't. Why is he so gross. Flush the damn toilet it's not that hard!!!

Well boys are immature they don't always think beyond themselves and he's on the tail end of when it's understandable. Keep in mind not everyone is thinking completely while using the bathroom but most of the time you should be coherent enough to think beyond pulling your pants up.

Keep drilling him on it and eventually he will wise up. My sister had the same problem about as much as me and my roommates occasionally do this so it's not exclusively men.

Oh gosh... I've known that with a family member and his wife and kids as well. They would only flush after 3 people or so had gone to the room :o
Oh goodness when I needed to go to the room with them I flushed "from a safe distance" and with my nose closed, before doing my thing! :-(

My brother did the same until he was 17 or so. When we asked him, he said he "forgot". When he was little, until the age of 13, he did it because he was scared monsters would come out of the toilet and eat him. He's not very bright, and he has chronic laziness, combined with a general disregard for the people around him. Yeah, he's an absolute idiot.

Yup he NEVER cleans up after himself. He doesn't do good in school. He's very annoying. He's just a pig!!! I'm tired of being the ONLY one cleaning up the house

Absolutely. Completely agree. It's not your place to clean up after him and I'm afraid the best thing for you to do is not do it. I was in the same position when it came to my brothers and slowly they've all had to learn to do it themselves. I don't do it for them at all anymore.

Focus on you. Focus on the things you want to do. And most importantly, focus on moving out and getting away form him!

That is true. I just don't like to see my house a mess my mom works so hard so I try to keep it clean. I work part time and I'm a full time college student so I'm never home. He's the one making the house dirty. I'll admit my room is not always clean but when I do have time I clean it

I completely understand. I used to be the exact same as you, and one day, I just hit a breaking point. No more. I stopped. I barely bother with my room, it's disgusting. I leave it until I'm really disgusted and I deep clean it all. But i know the feeling. The best thing is just focus on you and your brother might get the idea.

If he is having conversation with his friends of girl, or you are having group conversation, you just need to somehow pop this up so saying ' Once my baby bro learns to flush the toilet' or if he says anything to you in front of his friends or girl.. Just slide in the snide comment! 'Yeah! Once you learn to flush the toilet, once he is embarrassed he will change otherwise you can embarrass him again
