How do you break the touch barrier with a guy?

Well thanks guys. Just read your responses, but it just kind of seemed to kind of happen naturally. :D Like the best things in life.

When I like a guy and want to let him know, I subtly use my body language to break the touch barrier.

In the beginning of a date I usually initiate a hug and at the end a hug and possibly a kiss (which he should initiate in my opinion).

Then while we're on the date the dynamic changes. Usually guys don't want to get too touchy-feely on a first date with a girl too soon because they are worried they will come off as creepy or an octopus. So I do my part to let him know that I'm comfortable with him. For instance, we'll be talking and sitting close or standing close and I'll be explaining something and nonchalantly graze my hand against his forearm or something to let him know I'm flirting and interested. And when we're joking around I'll playfully punch his arm or nudge his shoulder, this also works great. And while we're on a date and walking somewhere I'll just place my hand at my side loosely and he usually picks up on that and holds my hand.

what? do you mean how/when does it become okay to touch a guy and he touch you? Well, I would suggest "friendly punch on the shoulder" type of things at first. Like when getting their attention or about to say something to them and they are not looking, touch them/tap on the shoulder. These are baby steps. Then go to something a little bolder like when you see them after a few days, give them a friendly "Hey!" and then a casual side-hug. This will get his attention and also let him know you are kinda interested and from experience, he will take it from here.

Also, a good suggestion is to play a contact game with them like football or tag. This give you an excuse to really touch him because it seems like you just really want to "win" in the game, but can get yo hands all over him! he will love the playful contact ;)

I usually slightly touch their shoulder or arm for a second or two when a guy makes me laugh. Guys don't mind if you do that. Well at least most of them.

Shoulder nudges, light hitting on the arms or shoulders, tickling, leaning against him jokingly, brushing imaginary lint off his clothes, etc. :)

well first part is you have to be standing close enought to him, first off when you meet hold his hand a liitle bit longer let him know you are comfortable, touching his forearm sholder is fine, smile this is inviting, look at his reaction, if he likes he will reciprocate and escalate.

Poke him, tickle him, attempt to shove him into a snowbank -after that you can get away with much more subtle touches. =P
