Is being called unpredictable a bad thing?

Throughout my whole life, I've been called unpredictable. People have a hard time reading me and to me it seems predictable. What's so bad about being unpredictable?

i dont think so, because i think going against the grain lets people know here you stand and they dont have to ask unless they dont know you that well.

its like a fine piece of wood everything goes with the grain and looks beautiful and they never use anything that goes against the grain because it sticks out and make it look less acceptable.

i think of of myself as unacceptable not because im jerk because im not its just because i dont like going a way that makes you look normal or like everyone else.

It depends what they mean Unpredictable like- that wild and crazy fueledbythec, we just never know what's gonna happen. Next thing you know he could be asking for the baristas number, only to turn around and give it to the next guy in line.

Or is it more. Holly crap, fueledbythec really freaks me out. He may snap at any moment, lunge out and strangle me like I'm Bart Simpson.

I don't mind spontaneity , but not unpredictability. I feel uneasy around unpredictable people because I never really know where i stand with them. It's difficult to know for sure what they are capable of. I feel i wouldn't be able to depend upon or rely on someone who was unpredictable , because their behaviour can change so quickly from one moment to the next

People have that problem with me. They dont know where I stand with them a lot and it causes them to be sensitive around me when I tell them to chill out.

I don't view the person as a bad person or untrustworthy. I just need to know where I stand with people. That's because I need to feel emotionally safe , especially in a relationship. I feel too emotionally vulnerable if I don't know where I stand with someone , so I distance myself. I need consistency and stability, I find I don't get that from an unpredictable person.

i consider it a compliment. i dont c what's bad about it, except if it means ur moody. that's never a good thing. if ur just so bipolar that every conversation with you is a risk, then it gets very annoying.

other than that, i think it can mean ur original and ur full of pleasant surprises. can be a strength or weakness. depends on how u approach it.

no please dont think its a bad thing im exactly like you so u should take it as a compliment coz all it means is that you r portrayed differently 2 other people nd hey being unpridictable gives you a chance to take people by surprise instead of being easily read so embrace it :)

Unpredictable can be spontaneous, adventures, unknown, new, and exciting. All good things i think.

Being unpredictable makes it harder for others to get close to you. It's probably limiting your human connections.
Look at it this way, would you find it easy to be close/friendly with an unpredictable dog?

Personally I believe there's nothing wrong with being unpredictable, as long as its not in a dangerous way. In fact, as someone who likes to let life decide, unpredictability is exciting.
