Does my guy friend want to have sex with me?

So basically I have a very good guy friend, that I've known for about 1 year now and we travel together everyday and we get along very well! We have always been very open about sex, and stuff like that and the topic comes up quite regularily (mostly he iniates it) and I thought this was quite normal until my friend said that guys won't talk very openly about sex with girls they don't want to fuck?

For example yesterday he was talking about his (almost) girlfriend and how he's going to really commit to her (he has commitment issues) and I was just being happy for him and stuff. 5 minutes later he just asks me if I 'got any' over the summer (yesterday was the first day I saw him again, after summer break) and he really wanted to know where I went out, and if there was even the slightest chance that I had hooked up with a guy...

I don't get it, since he talks to me about being serious about his new girlfriend, and then asks me that? He also talked about his sex life quite a lot, but I never really cared for it?

What do you guys think? Would he secretly want to have sex with me? (he's never really made a move?)
