I matched with a guy from my class on tinder but then he unmatched me. What does this mean?

He unmatched me in a number of minutes so no conversation had taken place. We haven't talked about it in real life, I've worked with him on an assignment but I don't really know him personally.

Many people refuse to mix work (school) and dating. If the dating doesn't work out, then you are still stuck at work with them. Not good.
One of the criteria I take into account when choosing a woman is "escapability".

Don't sweat it too much. If that had happened to me, I most likely would've unmatched too simply because we already somewhat know each other and it's a bit awkward.
