Guys, Why hasn't he asked what my name is?

At my college I tend to stay quiet and keep from making friends, partly because I plan on transferring soon. Anyways I have this one class that always gets out early and I'd wait in this lounge area for my next class. The first few weeks I never noticed anything or anyone. BUT around week three I realized this one guy was constantly staring at me. I'm not exaggerating when I say constantly. Even when his other classmates were sitting with him he was looking at me. He'd at times get up just to walk past, even if I was out of his way. He'd slightly smile when I'd glance at him and I'd just try to ignore it. He started sitting somewhat next to me to start up a conversation. One of his classmates was in my prior class so he'd manage to butt into our conversations. I know he's attracted to me at least a little, from his stares to moving closer to me whenever we've talked, there is no way I can doubt that. Today he asked about one of my classes and tried to ask about my degree but he hasn't asked me what my name is. I don't understand how that would be an oversight and I am curious why he hasn't asked yet.
