I developed a gym crush over the summer and never really made an attempt to talk to him. Until recently he introduced himself to me as he had seen me at my job and recognized me.
Since then every time we are both at the gym he comes to talk to me. He is the one that initiates conversations and we have had fun flirty banter back and forth. There also been moments where I’ve caught him looking at me.
One instance I was stretching and was about to finish up so I let me hair down and started gathering my stuff. He was in the middle of a workout and I was debating saying bye myself. As soon as I got up I noticed he had come over to say bye himself.
Saw him today and I made a comment about needing to head to the store nearby. I said goodbye and next thing you know I bumped into him at the store and he helped me choose wine for my girls movie night.
I’m just curious as to why he hasn’t made an attempt to get my number or even socials. Should I ask next time instead?

sometimes its just awkward to ask or know when to ask , recall this one girl i talked to her a lot at this restaurant but never knew when to ask and i think it annoyed her that i never did. eventually i tried to add her on instagram as i knew her name and she wouldn't even add me despite the fact we knew each other and i had talked to her many times before
but i know sometimes guys she doesn't even know would ask for her # and socials when they meet her there so i think she wondered why i didn't as like random guys would ask
definitely let him know you are interested. If he isn't that always has a chance he begins seeing you in that way.
