I've done this before countless times. I dont really understand why. I guess its because i have better things to do.
I've had stuff to do too and had to cancel a date. It's not hard to just send the person a text saying "hey I can't make it xyz" It's just common courtesy.
In my experience women play to many games for me to put the effort into sending a text like that. If she's worth while ill clear my whole schedule for her. He must not think you're worth it.

well, he kinda sounds like me in high school. I used to promise my group members that I'd show up for a presentation but then just changed my mind in the last minute and never showed up. It's a dick move, but hey, it's hard to fight your fears. Anyways, he might as well be fucking with you I dunno

Basically someone who promise to do something then either cancel (sometimes even at the last minute ) or just don't show up at all.
Flake, as in he was there a second ago but a gust of wind blew him away.
You're supposed to do something, you said you were going to do something, but then you don't do it, you don't show up... Like a flake of dry snow or dust, you vanished.
