Guy's Behavior

When a guy says bye to you what does it mean?

I know it means bye but he just had this certain look

One thats in a sad movie where he leaves the car closes the door and is still looking at her and then waves as they drive off

Before he left we were all sitting in the car and laughing listening to music and he asked me a question and i couldnt hear him so he repeated it for me like 20 times speaking louder and getting closer each time

Me and the guy are friends i guess i mean like we dont text we just say hi when we see each other

Does this mean he likes me more then a friend?
