I've seen people asking if they like their PARTNER dominant or submissive. Others asking what kind of things a submissive or dominant expect. You know where these questions were directed towards? As a mature lady I have seen all sorts of females and males unknowledgeable/knowledgeable, adept and inept, dominant and submissive.
My parents did not teach me to speak up and get in there with my opinion. My brothers taught me this but only so much as when they knew I was getting picked on. It wasn't as well received when I voiced my opinion with them. Women that spoke up (even the same amount as the men) where considered aggressive and not lady-like. I don't remember a disadvantage in school at any age I was lucky to have respectful, for the most part, teachers of both genders. I found being the youngest may have made me less driven to be more knowledgeable, more competent and timid.
I have found some men in general seem to think of some women negatively as they get older. Maybe competition for jobs? I find if some people cannot express their smarts and competency with words they tend to fall back on directing their frustration with abusive behavior towards the woman that they are competing against. There is also herd mentality. If a man puts down a woman other men chime in because there are safety in numbers even though if talked to individually they may not have reacted the same way.
