He jumped right into a new relationship with some random girl he just met when we broke up. Now he's trying his best to get my attention and he's rubbing this new relationship to my face and see my reaction. What the heck?

He's trying to get an ego boost or feel he won the break up

He's moved on but doesn't want you to move on

He's trying to figure out if you're over him so you two can be friends

He knows he screw up and he's trying to make you jealous so that you'd go after him and he gets out of begging you back

Your ex may still want you but he is also a jerk. If he is rubbing the new girl in your face, he is trying to get your attention that's all.
He may or may not want you back but he definitely wants to have a life line in you or he wouldn't care what you do or if you know about his new relationships.

I have no idea what goes through his head. But he has never gotten any from me outside of a relationship and never will. He does these jealousy stunts always after he's first tried to get me interested in him, then if I haven't disappeared anywhere he tries to make me jealous and watches for my reaction. And he clearly wants me to react. I don't know what it's all about.
