How long should I wait to unblock him?

Me and my boyfriend have been on good terms until about 6 hours ago we got into an argument. Im not going into detail about it but he said some hurtful things so I blocked him on social media. We've been through this before in the past, he would block me for a couple of hours or a day or 2 at most. I don't want to wait long, I'm very upset with him. How long should I wait to unblock him? I don't know if he's cooled off yet.

If he has to block you then you need to just straight up dump him. You don't need that immaturity in your life besides the drama. If he can't communicate with you fairly and debate fairly then that is a sign for you to cut it. Blocking a partner over garbage is so childish. And you've done this in the past too? Yep, means it's time for you and him to grow up or cut it loose a. s. a. p before you have far more bigger problems. This game playing you two are doing have to stop and end at some point. My advice for the both of you is to figure it out, or don't be in this relationship at all.

In my opinion, you shouldn't have blocked him as if he tried to message you again and got the notification he was blocked it might heighten the situation. Nevertheless I completely I understand why you blocked him so I'm not gonna lecture you on that. If it was a really small petty argument, give it a few hours, if it was bad I'd give it a day or two then call him or meet him face to face

You should be able to ask for a cooling off period and receive that from each other without the necessity to resort to blocking. That sounds immature and dramatic.

Yes I know it is immature but I did to our of anger and to let him know that he hurt me. I don't like blocking him but he's done it to me in the past so I decided to let him know how it feels.

don't unblock him. if u do it'll be a constant cycle of "i hate you" and "i love u". sounds to me like ur both immature asf but for all i know, it could be the most detailed argument of all time. if ur upset with him, be and stay upset with him as your probably in the right... maybe.

Wait until he apologizes for the hurtful things he said and unblock him as soon as he does. Fighting never solves anything, talking things through does. Good luck

Alright, if your relationship functions this way it's a ticking time bomb. Communication is the most important part of any kind of relationship. If you and your partner regularly deny each other the ability to communicate because your mad at each other your relationshipping wrong.
