Why are libra men so confusing?

Okay, so I ve known this guy since the 7th grade. He s a libra and I m an aquarius. We dated on and off back in middle school. We're now adults and recently just reunited. Its been about 5 years since we last saw eachother. We went to the movies but I spilled nacho cheese on him. We both laughed our butts off and he kept picking on me about it. We hung out a few times since then, but he would always cuddle me. The thing that confused me was he just wanted to be friends. But this last time we hung out, things got intense. I m not going to go into much detail, let s just say he gave his arm and finger a workout. Since then he s been kinda distant up until about 2 weeks ago where he just stopped talking to me completely. Around the same time I sent his friend a friend request on facebook. Just yesterday I messaged him asking if I can talk to him about his friend. He replied " what about my friend", I explained to him how his friend likes me and is being flirty and I don t want to hurt him because I don t feel the same way. He came back saying " Why did you friend request one of my friends that you have never met before?". I told him that we did about five years ago at the skating rink we always went to on fridays. He didn t believe me, so I showed him a screenshot and he said he forgot his friend went to the skating rink with him so it s possible. I said yeah. He said well you re not going to hurt him. I replied with K and so did he. I'm crazy about him, but I'm also confused... by the way he's not that kind of person to just use me for some fun. Yeah he's a guy but I've know him for a very long time... he'd never use a girl.
