Feeling used and lied to by a guy. What makes a guy player? How can I get over with him?

I met this guy on the Internet and we went out for dinner when we first met in person. We talked a lot and we both had feelings for each other. When we walk along the river he mentioned this is our first date, we kissed and made out. The second day we went out for dinner again, still talking a lot and we had sex in my place. After that we didn't see each other for 5 days but he is continuing text me from moring to night. Then he ask me out for a movie date on weekend. He takes me to dinner, we played games together and cuddled for the movie. Everything goes well and he even implied me that he is only dating me right now. He kept texting me everyday until he went for his holiday. He mentioned he will gone for a month on the first date and text me before he got on the plane, said he will talk to me after he came back. We just talked 3 times during his holiday because i don't want to be needy. But he come back and never called. I asked him he said he is just tired and jetlagged. And he don't text me anymore. If i initiate the conversation he take hours to reply and just a few words. Then i found him flirting with another girl on the internet but he wouldn't admit it. Now i am planning on invite him to a Christmas party to end things up. I feel i was used by him sexually and he just pretend to want a relationship with me. But guys, would a guy text u everyday, care about your illness, and holding your hand in public just to have sex with u? He is being really sweet to me that i can't believe all this are fake. If he is a player, how can i get over with him quickly? I try to make myself busy but i start thinking about him the moment i stop. I even try to see other guys but i feel nothing but the sadness and loneliness. What can i do?

I tried to ask him why but everytime i said i don't want to contact hime again, he just showed up with some explainatin.. And he is ignoring my texts and calls

I believe he used you, yes guys are assholes like that. They tell you what you want to hear, and dedicate everything till they get what they want. It usually means that guy is just to young. He's not looking for longterm relationships. He's just trying to have his fun and try something new. A lot of girls are the same way. Over time you will eventually get over him. I know its hard to believe, but its true. The thing that keeps you unsatified with anyone else are your own feelings. Maybe what you need isn't a relationship, but instead someone you can vent to

in my opinion, he is probably texting and hanging out with u when he is horny. so go hang out with him like 5 times and dont have sex with him, he wants to see the 6st time you know he doesn't want just sex. problem fixed

Well.. he used to text me everyday tell me his life... U know like he really cares about u and give u sense of secure. Thats why i believe he want a relationship with me. But all things changed after he back from holiday. He doesn't want to see me anymore.
