He obviously loves you because he doesn't want to lose you. It might be a cultural norm to marry a person who has the same religion. In other words, other beliefs are sadly not accepted. What he is trying here is not 'forcing' you, but trying to make you get a look at it and see where it goes. These people here commenting think he is forcing you because of religious things which is defenitely not the case, because even in the holy book there is written that one shouldn't force this religion upon another. He is trying to make you get a look at it because of the cultural norm.
Asking you to read a little is not the same as trying to convert you. Take a risk - read some, read about Jesus in the Qu'ran, it's pretty interesting. It's not going to hurt you. Christ will still know who you follow.
Yes. He takes his religion seriously, so he wants to convert you. If he wanted to simply educate you on his religion (what he believes or why) he would talk about that, or send video clips of someone talking about Islam. Pushing the Koran, flat out, means he wants you to convert. The fact that he wants you to learn Arabic means he EXPECTS you to convert. Proper recitation and prayers are only allowed in Arabic, technically, and many Muslims, who do not speak Arabic, simply learn those lines phonetically.
I'm always a proponent of educating yourself on other systems of belief. Ignorance is the gateway to senseless fear. Knowledge is anathema to Ignorance. Therefore, Knowledge informs your fear, letting you use the fear, rather than the fear using you. And, more importantly, prevents other people from controlling you with your fear.

I do know that some Muslims don't belive some of the stuff mohammed taught such as the extreme violence and poor rights for women but the ones who follow all the Muslim texts (hadith included) are comanded to do some things that... well look at any mid eastern nation under sharia law.

Yes, he clearly is. This is typical in Christian-Muslim relationships and sometimes even in friendships. I once had a Muslim girlfriend who went to great lengths to get me to convert so I would be presentable to her parents.

Matthew 26:39, he knew he was to die for us, and was looking to the father for courage and another way if possible as he lowered himself to. human level he would feel pain.
Though he is God taken human form for our sake, he still willingly died for us all. This is the time he was most upset about the doom he was to willingly go through, an understandable reaction which proved how much he lowered himself so we could interact with him. It shows us also that he knew full well what was to come, shattering the idea he knew not the suffering ahead.

I made the choice myself, I was encouraged by my parents as their beliefs influenced my own. However the final say was and still is my own.
Jesus lowered himself to human level for our benefit, he experienced temptation, sorrow, joy, and all the other human things so he could relate not just by omniscience but by experience and so we could develop a relationship with him. He still had his godly power, so much as arch an eyebrow and every angel in the universe would snap to attention, he raised the dead, healed the sick, and gave us power to cast out demons.
You're starting to get the whole 3 in 1 thing, Jesus did take fully human form, however his soul was and is still that of God.
God does not need to sacrifice himself or his son if he has a son in order to forgive people because as you said God has power to forgive people without sacrificing.
