What does it mean if a guy says I’ll see you around and gives you hug at the same time?

If a guy says I’ll see you around is that the same as see you later/talk to you later? Or does it not matter? Especially if there had been something physical going on (intimacy) before... and didn’t just leave, but had physical contact with you as he said those words (a hug).

Was he just trying to be polite but in reality he won’t reach out again? And does he mean what it means, just straight forward?

I someone who overthinks things too much please advise.
