Are college girls not as shallow as HS?

I'm 17 and in high school. One thing I notice is that many high school girls are often very shallow and superficial. They only care about what is on the surface, and not deep below. That's real tough for me because (I'm trying to say this in a way that isn't narcissistic) I care about people but express it in more subtle ways. For example, if a girl got hurt in a sport, I'll send her messages periodically to see how she is doing. If a girl is having trouble carrying her stuff, I'll help her. If a girl seems down, I'll ask her if she's okay. I've scared away a lot of girls with that last one, but it just feels right to ask but I guess it makes them feel transparent. Really, I just pick up on the subtle things. I guess what I'm trying to say is that my emotions and feelings run pretty deep. But many high school girls feelings don't. Back to my question, are college girls less than high school superficial and deeper? Do you think I might have better luck in college with girls than in high school?

I'm not claiming all girls are shallow. I'm just saying that a lot are shallow. There are many girls who are not shallow, but they are in the minority.

I think so, college tends to be a wake up call for a lot of people. Though sometimes girls are shallow because they don't want to become too attatched to a guy and then he turns around breaks her heart. But helping a girl when she needs it and being a gentleman is always appreciated, keep up the good work.

college is much bigger than hs meaning there are lots of different types of girls. Of course you will still have your shallow girls, but then you'll meet other types too

No offense but I noticed guys who claim that all or most girls are shallow and superficial usually are a tad bit shallow and superficial themselves. are you only basing your observations off the hottest, prettiest girls that usually have the higher standards on what kind of guys they will date? there are plenty of girls who have feelings that run just as deep as yours but typically they get overshadowed for different reasons

I'm not saying all are shallow. I've just noticed that many are very immature and shallow. There are some who are not as shallow and immature, but I've had a hard time finding them.

guys usually just say that chicks are shallow and superficial when the chicks they go for are out of their league. if they themselves are so open why aren't they going for fugly chicks?

In high school girls are more into how the guy looks and such, but in college girls are actualy looking for something more in most cases. I know I look for a deeper connection now then when I was in high school

when you get out of high school and into college the crap that went on in high school with popularity, who you were dating or another other superficial stuff doesn't work anymore. time to put on your big girl or big boy pants.
