He suddenly started ignoring and avoiding me, what does that mean?

there's this guy i like, and He doesn't like me back though, well not sure to be honest. And he does know that i like him

But well I've been recently telling him that i DONT like him anymore. I know this is confusing but i ACTUALLY still like him, i know its dumb to say that i don't like him anymore even though i still actually do, i only did that because i felt like he was playing me

(The first time i told him that i don't like him anymore) He was teasing me because i have a crush on him and i replied "haha but i don't have a crush on you anymore", when he saw it, it took him a minute to reply and said " oh ok"

(2nd time) he was still teasing me about it, but this time he teased me because i HAD a crush on him. I said "wahaha well still though i don't like you anymore" and he said "actually i have an crush on you"
me- what? really?

me- are you serious or are you just joking me?

me- Then since when have you been crushing on me? I still don't believe you.
(he read it and didn't reply a few minutes and went offline, and a few minutes later he went online again)

( after 3 minutes i was typing by then but he suddenly replied-

He talks to me everyday at chat and he usually is the one who chats me first, but well i don't know why he stopped doing that. It has been a few days since we chat. And we go to the same school and i noticed that he has been avoiding me and ignoring me, we don't talk in personal though. actually he jokes to most girls that he likes them but he still talks to them, but I don't know why he stopped talking to me after him joking that he has an crush on me.

Oh, and by the way again. he used to always try to grab my attention, frequent eye contact, etc but now since i told him that i dont like him anymore welllll he isn't doing those stuff now, he's now avoiding and ignoring me.

The best way to know if a guy likes you is by asking him or telling him or have someone go up to him and talk to him not one of your friends because that kind of makes it obvious one of his friends and have one of his friends talk to him about you and what he thinks about you

Well i heard that he plays the girls that are crushing on him, but i only heard that of course, not sure if its true or not. And i have this friend of mine who is also his friend and my friend told me that whenever the topic is about crush, etc he always has that blank face and is usually silence or just say "who cares about that?" And laughs. I also heard that he only had a crush when he was in 3rd grade

lmao i know im dumb af but I was kinda curious on how he would act after him knowing that i dont like him anymore even though i still do and kinda curious on what would happen after i told him that, I kinda also felt like that he's playing me, so if he is playing me well i just wanted to see if he'll continue on playing me, if that is he is. I've never been played and got into this situation before so i dont really know what to do
