Why does my ex only call me when he’s drunk?

My “big ex” called me twice in one week after midnight. I assumed he was drinking and that’s the only reason he calls.

I’m in a serious relationship and so is he. I think, neither of us ever had closure. I responded to his messages the day after. But, the next day he doesn’t show interest in talking. Why does he only call me when he’s drunk and around 2am? I’m curious to know what he has to say after 3 years of not seeing him.

Should I just ignore it. I don't know if it would ever give any of us closure anyway. So why bother 😕

Alcohol reduce the ability to think before you act. He might want to call you but his reasoning prevents it. With enough alcohol his reasoning is inpaired and he follows through on his desire.

What kind of “closure” do you need exactly? You’re both in serious relationships, how much more closed is your past relationship going to be thanthay?

I don't know. We have mutual friends and all his friends say he’s only w his girlfriend because she’s helped him financially. That he doesn’t really love her like he did me.

That’s pathetic - for him. You’re in a relationship and you’ve closed that chapter of your life. He needs to find a way to deal with it, not you.
Unless you still have feelings for him, in which you need to tell your boyfriend so you can deal with THAT first, then talk to the ex

No, I don’t have feelings for him anymore. Or intentions of getting back together. He hurt me too much for me to allow that again.
