Men, when was the first time you realized how much stronger men typically are than women?

When I was in basic training for the Air Force, my flight had a sister flight (all female). For the first 6 weeks, they scored higher on pretty much everything. When 6th week rolled around, we spent the week in a simulated deployed environment. Tents, foxholes, holes in the ground for shitting, you name it. We, as an all male flight, took it in stride. Our sister flight lasted until the 2nd day before most of them had a breakdown from the "disgusting conditions". Then we had our graduating PT exam. NONE of them scored above 85%, while we had 3 100% with most guys scoring above 90%.

It took a while, but eventually, the stress got to my our sister flight, and they collapsed like a house of cards, while we, an all male flight, just kept pressing on and dealt with whatever was thrown at us.

That was when I realized that men are typically stronger, both mentally and physically, than women.

I used to be a morbidly skinny little bastard... weighing in at 130lbs. Me and an older (29) female coworker were working outside, and we had to lift the pallet jack into the trailer. She made an attempt, no luck. She looks at me, and suggests one of us get on each side and we both lift at once to get it in. I get behind the pallet jack, and lift it into the trailer with one swift motion.

I don't think I ever "realized" it. There's yet to be a moment in my life where there's something I'm strong enough to do but the women around me aren't. Granted, I'm not very active, but...

Pretty much always known. Granted I've also considered myself to be stronger than the average guy for a very long time.
