Why do I attract stalkers?

I've had the same issue in the past and I've been told it's because I'm shy and too nice to people so come across more vulnerable. Unfortunately there's near to non help for people who are being stalked as I had to shut down my social media and stick up for myself and be as loud as possible when confronted with them.
