Why do guys think they have the right to harshly judge women's looks?

Women judge men just as often and just as harshly - in fact, studies have shown that on average, women judge over 80% of men to be "below average looking"! Think about that stat for a minute!

Women also judge men by their job, their car, and the size of their wallet, along with their physical characteristics.

The only difference is that you're more likely to hear guys talking about it out-loud, while women are more likely to just think it or talk about it privately. But the amount of judging is hardly any less.

I don't judge women harshly on here.
I tend to see what's beautiful about her.
I have seen both men and women say some pretty nasty insensitive things about each other just in general on gag though.
I definitely think it goes both ways around here.

because its more socially acceptable to judge a woman on her looks the same way it is more socially acceptable for women to judge a man based on his wallet. It's still set up that men will judge women as they ARE (looks, is her personality good enough, what is she willing to give me now) and that women can judge men for what he CAN produce in the future (stable job, good father, won't cheat on you etc).
im guessing there should be a happy medium between the two but i don't know how to quantify that yet lol

Guys are terrible hypocrites. They only care about a woman's looks. And expect you to look like a model even if they are just average themselves. When they say they care about personality, they mean you have to smile, be obedient, don't threaten their authority and suck d**k.
They also say they don't like women with makeup but all these celebs they like, wear a ton of makeup

First off, a 5 is pretty ugly, average is like 6.5. second, I don't know ow guys who do that anywhere other than here and it's because all women will lie to each other about looks. But if you're asking men on here, they assume it's because you ACTUALLY want to know how you look, so if they think you don't look good, they're gonna say something. if you don't want to know how you actually look, maybe specify in the deets "please lie to me so I feel good even though I know you're lying and I'm ugly" men are straightforward, it's why we've accomplished 95%+ of everything. Because they are free to do so. The women is free to tell the guy to “fuck off” or whatever else she wants to say. It may be rude or mean to say that to somebody’s face but they absolutely have the ‘right’ to do it. This applies to both sexes by the way, you just specified men.

By using that phrasing you are begging the answer. It is clear that you think men are judging women harshly and do not have the right. However, all humans judge all other humans. In addition, men are visual and we are evolved to judge women visually in order to select a good mate. You may not like their choice or their judgment, but it is biologically wired into us to behave that way. So it sounds like you are really just mad at biology and evolution, not men.
