Lolololol I pay for my own phone with my own money, it’s an iPhone 6s and it’s gotten me respect.
Save your money and buy your own shit and then people can’t say anything about it.
And by “I pay for my own phone “ means I worked for two years on a lousy inconsistent allowance, and my brothers even stole from my savings, and I bought the phone with cash, and I work my ass of with inconsistent allowance to pay my phone bill.
Ain’t no one better be calling me spoiled, if anything it’s my lying cheating brothers that are favored by my parents, and get tons of shit for no reason and they don’t even deserve it.
I’m not jealous, just when your brothers get iPhone 11s for their birthday, AirPods, Gucci belts, that shit, and then you turn around and work your ass off and have to buy your own shit? Well that’s just wrong, also why I plan on moving out as soon as possible too, because clearly I am not appreciated in my own home.
Get your respect by working for it honey, or get a sugar daddy or something.
No, you're not spoiled. They just spoil you in general probably because they love you and want you with the best things in life. Nothing wrong with that. BUT it can get over your head, and sadly it can teach you to expect expensive things from others. And anything less than that can be seen as if it's not enough for you. As long as you don't have that attitude, then your not spoiled. Being spoiled is flaunting what you have boasted about it and what is given to you or what you bought. That's spoiled. So I think in this situation so many of them are just jealous and are made that they can't be with you because you have things they don't have. That's not your fault. So don't allow them to bully you. Often times people like that want to put you down for no logical reason. They can never stand to see you happy. And wants you to be miserable like them. That's what I learned. I hardly had anything growing up. What I had was what I had. But I cherished them. That's the difference.
That's a $1200 phone. I was 13 in 1983, so that's probably about $600 in 1983 money. If I'd asked for a $600 anything at 13, my dad would have slapped the taste out of my mouth. I was lucky to get a $70 off-brand cassette Walkman, and I was well aware that if I broke it, lost it, got it taken away at school, etc., I couldn't be given another one - PERIOD.
If you were my kid, if you even had a smartphone, it would be a $200 phone - either a used iPhone 7 or a new mid-level Android phone like a Moto G. There's no way in hell I'd give a 13-year-old a $1200 phone. She could have a $1200 phone when she spent her own money on it - and that's a LOT of babysitting hours and a LOT of mowed lawns.
You may not have a spoilt attitude (at least I don't know that you do) but you are privileged in having such a high valued product. Its possible that there is some amount of jealousy but really its your best bet to see how other adults view you (not your parents, because of bias).

I remember I got the iPhone 8+ when it came out, and everyone looked at me like I was so spoiled and undeserving. I believe, yes, that is a lot to offer to a person my age (I was probably 10 or 11), but it's absolutely about being GRATEFUL; that is what determines whether you are spoiled or not. I mean, especially if you're in America, it's capitalism. Like, if you have more money, you have more power, so you might be able to buy your children expensive phones, and that's that. You can't really say anything about that because your parents have the money and that power to give you a phone, and they gave it to you. You can't just criticize other people's parenting because it's their money, and it's one phone, not five cars. I believe that in the end, what matters more is that you appreciate what you have. If you're grateful and you don't complain about the expensive things you get, I believe you're not particularly a brat or very spoiled. :)
If you act like a spoiled brat, then you'll be a regarded as a spoiled brat regardless of what kind of phone you own. Duh. Don't act like a spoiled brat and don't act like you're entitled to anything, because you aren't. No one is, at least nothing like a fucking iPhone of all things.
How does one act like a spoiled brat?
By being a bitch, for starters (so don't do that), and by acting like you deserve whatever you want. Acting entitled. Like I said.
I'm not saying that you do act that way; I have no idea how you act because I've never met you. I'm saying that merely possessing a fancy phone doesn't make you a spoiled brat, but honestly I don't know why anyone thinks they need a fancy phone so, whatever.
being spoiled is not a problem if you are grateful. It only becomes a problem when the kid isn't grateful and takes their stuff for granted, that is where the stigma comes from. So no shame in having that phone, but always thank the people who make all of it possible
well that depends. for example my contract for my phone comes up about every 2 years, and after that I get to renew and they give me the latest phone. so if the new iPhone 11 just came out, and i renew the contract then i get the new iPhone 11 and i could come across as spoiled. but for you, yea. i mean just bc your 13, id say yea. no offense but when i was 13 i had a literal flip phone as my first phone. then for upgrade to the phone 4s and now the 7. so i think for your age, yes.
I'd say you're privileged, not necessarily spoiled. It's important to recognize that your family is more well off than most, but spoiled more refers to the way you act. The best way to not come off as spoiled is to be thankful for what you have and aware of what others don't.
Having something expensive doesn't mean your spoiled. Either they are being a stereotype or judging the book of it's cover but not it's content. Well being a spoiled brat is something that you're not satisfied, demanding the things you want, and not appreciating your parents. Your lucky to have a premium phone at that age lol
Not necessarily. Being "spoiled" is an attitude. No matter what you have, as long as you are grateful for it, you're not spoiled. You'd only be
spoiled if you felt you were entitled to what you had or even demanded more.
I did not choose A nether B... You are lucky because you have such parents but just ask your self...
what will you do if you didn't have them?
You should take life seriously... There are waaay more impotent things than having an I phone 11 max. Maybe some grammar lessons.
no, jus lucky... jus being given expensive stuff for free doesn't mean ur spoiled... everyone i n this world are stupid... i guess bank robbers family are spoiled too then cos they get money for free?
fucking retarded general population... piss me off
Not that unique for a 13 year old to have the newest iPhone. So I'll say no. But your options are ridiculous because they aren't necessarily jealous, either.
I got my first phone at the age of 10. It was a purely communication based device so I felt like an idiot next to all the others with their games and music. Looking back it wasn't really as bad but compared to a smartphone it was a joke. That being said, my phone was more of a financial decision rather than a deliberate choice. People with similar stories will proabably see you as spoiled because your parents are able to afford such nice things and ours couldn't or wouldn't get us the things we desired. I guess it comes down to jealousy, for me at least. Nowdays it's quite different than back then so it's hard to tell what exactly is bothering people.
There's not really enough information for me to determine whether or not you're spoiled. For all I know, maybe you earned it? Some parents will reward their kids if they get straight A's. They do this to reinforce good habits and behavior. I'd say as long as you are not acting spoiled and not acting entitled, you're not spoiled.
I’m 17 and I have an 11 iPhone pro Mac, only difference is that I bought my phone and you most likely didn’t—assuming you don’t have a job. Don’t worry about those people, they are negative.
I didn't. And ill try not to it just annoys me
There is probably a pattern of behavior they've seen that has made them think you're a bit spoiled. Maybe you always have the latest and greatest stuff? Having a iPhone11 doesn't automatically make spoiled though
My dad buys me whatever i want. maybe that?
Have you ever had to work for anything?
No? Why would i work I'm 13
No, I mean like around the house, or maybe you had to save up money to get something you wanted to get.
No we have a maid and a cook.
Well, there's a good chance that your classmates resent that. They see you as privileged.
Oh well I guess I am :/
Being a spoiled brat is more about your attitude than anything else. If you aren't afraid to get to work, and understand the value of money; you'll never be spoiled.
I don't like work.
My dadnwork is hard and my mom work u need a degree i ain't smart
You're only 13, you have to give yourself time.
I know :/ but math and science i suck at it. and English I'm okay at
why the fuck does spoiled simply mean inheriting money fr free? thats supid, fuck the poll, its retarded, retarded people... spoiled should be how ur behaviour is... spoiled means act like a brat... if she acts nice n normal,,, she should not be called spoiled simply cos she has expensive stuff for nothing... thats stupid... i guess all politician and rich people like trump are spoiled too then?
cos theyre all rich
Mhm. Most people couldn't afford one let alone give it to their kid. I got my first phone at 16 and it wasn't a top of the line 1000-1500 USD machine.
Oh :/ well i guess I never though aboutbit like that :/
Depends. If by "spoiled" you mean your attitute and character, then we obviously don't know if you are or not because we don't know you. But if by "spoiled" you mean as in "being spoiled" (in your case by your parents), then you clearly are.
nah lots of people ur age and younger have phones dont worry. what other ways do you think your spolied? do you have rich parents?
No I don't think I am and I don't know their never home
Mom a lawyer dad owns a mechanic shop and a body shop.
Wahcthu wanna talk about?
We can talk here
My parents tell me not to talk in private with strangers so no thank u
My neice is turning 14 soon and does not even have a cell phone. A phone like that is really expensive so it seems like your parents give you whatever you want.
:/ oh I'm sorry
When I was 13 I had a skateboard 😂
But hey, times change! Enjoy your phone! :)
If you got it without having to earn it then yes you are.
Okay I guess i am
On the low end it costs $1100.
