What is a masculine behavior in men?

This is such a great question. I love to celebrate masculinity and femininity. I think the core of masculinity is strength. Any behavior that emphasizes physical strength, emotional strength, psychological strength is masculine. Also leadership is masculine. Being protective is masculine. Providing is masculine. And of course being a gentleman is masculine. Jason Statham is masculine, and so is Mister Rogers ♥️♥️♥️ I love masculinity and femininity.
So in the bedroom it would be male dominance... pulling hair and slapping dat ass... giggidy giggidy
+1 you've saved me some typing lol
Bad ones: war, anger, physical violence, risky behaviour, criminals, promiscuity
Good ones: father figure, strong-minded, sense of responsibility, fighting for honour, protector and provider
Being confident, self love and a purpose you live strive for everyday Having to explain how to be yourself isn't complicated when you can just live in the present moment, knowing you're living your best life and no one can sway you..
Not giving a fuck

You say "masculine", but you mean "stereotypical male", like according to the most primitive of gender roles conceptualization. That's kinda sad, not to mention stupid. So let me balance it out a little:
-Not afraid to show emotions.
-Not refraining from displays of affections towards loved ones.
-Loves and respect his spouse (devotion, fidelity)
-Loves his children and makes sure to spend enough time with them.
-Shares the household daily burden (dishes, laundry, floor etc.)
-Doesn't deny himself """feminine""" hobbies, activities and/or behaviour (be it enjoying a chick-flick or playing with dolls, whatever's interesting and fun).
Act grown up, and treat other well , and never fight unless an idiot act childish, or some one try to make a fool out of a you for not beeing tall , og if some one try to show of for being full of big muschel witch you ofcause don't have, as you wouldn't be a grown up guy, but just a immature kid who never grown up yet, a guy only few girls like
Competition is one of them but it’s not what makes men masculine, it’s the ability to work and take care of your family it’s taking charge and providing leader ship or none is around it is protecting the ones we love And protecting others we don’t know to the extent where we will give up our own life in order to save others that’s true masculinity
I think it’s more about behavioral and physical traits. I would hate for someone to call me masculine because I can drive a manual transmission car or for my leadership etc
Not scared easy or screamish... for example if your too scared to pick up a crab or mouse... im going to look at you as a girly guy, not masculine
men face their fears
also, were more mentally strong and dont cry about every little thing like a girl does... for example someone calls u ugly... we won't cry about that, we hardly cry at all... were jus more emotionally strong and careless, more like robots
I think men like challenge and competition and dominance more than woman - it’s why they are more likely to play video games - woman are more likely to journal or write personal reflections because woman enjoy calm and rest more
I think all this masculine feminine stuff is bullshit. People should just be people and have their own traits.
Strength.
Confidence.
Courage.
Boldness.
Those are the 4 pillars.
Wrong. Has nothing to do with being a man nor masculine. In fact such stuff like that is stupidity because it involves trying to hurt another human being which is what savages do.
World titles
@1828avaava1828: Doesn't matter. Fighting is for backward society.
I don’t know if I agree with that. I think the context is very important!!
@1828avaava1828: Context of what? A person trying his hardest to punch or kick another person and knock them out to the middle of next week? 🤡
It’s sport, it’s a competition, it’s a puzzle of human movement, human thought. There’s beauty to it in setting of sport and entertainment with 2 willing participants who are well trained and moderately paid. It’s entertainment!
But in a setting on the street without unified rules, one or more unwilling parties, bully tactics and so on, it is a very very ugly thing.
@AndrewMG
@1828avaava1828: Hey, cutie, I like how you try to reason and justify brutality at your personal convenience as "entertainment". 😉
Lovely thoughts
@1828avaava1828 Combat sport can be a thing of beauty, people can take the worse case scenario of it but that's not necessarily useful. Thousands (and I mean thousands) of youngsters have found that boxing/wrestling/ufc has been a way they can channel there aggression and give them discipline and focus. Boxing in the last 100 years has saved far more life's than it's taken. An upper/middle class kid might not need an outlet to express there anger/hyperactivity etc but plenty of working class kids do, so we should encourage them to do it in a disciplined respectful way. I hate violence on the street/when it's out of control, but I understand why in a controlled environment it can (and usually is) be a positive thing.
Stated
If a man broke into your house, you're laid there with your wife, your kids in the other room, what would you do?
Combat sports have always really been about instilling in boys and men the mindset required to protect the family and their nation. To teach "gameness". In order to protect anything, even yourself, you have to be capable of violence. The only way to be sure that you are capable is to practice regularly. If you're completely opposed to violence you can't protect shit.
@RagnarRedbeard: You're comparing Apples to oranges. One is an emergency situation and the other one is for sport.
I can learn to fight in a gym from instructor or use a gun to protect my home.
True, you guys over there have guns so you have that option I guess. I think a little differently because over here we don't.
Either way though, combat sports really exist for the reasons I mentioned. It's practice for unarmed combat. The trouble with a lot of martial arts instructors who supposedly teach "self-defence" is that they don't pressure test their techniques, they only train with compliant partners, so a lot of what they teach is useless. It's impossible to know how effective you are at fighting if you don't go up against somebody who is trying to hurt you too. And when you do, you also get to see how you actually deal with the stress of a real fight.
@RagnarRedbeard yes 🥊
The ability to command a woman to do my bidding. For example , a well trained woman knows that a mere glance from my part means "Cold beer, now"- and alas there is an ice cold beer in my hand.
I am worried about the fact some people said carrying a pocket knife because that is some real criminal behaviour. I would say masculinity is protecting women.
Loud engines, fighting outside bars if some assholes being a dick to your girl, dominating and taking control during sex.
Being man enough to go onto Queer eye for the straight guy. Remember tailored clothes people! And no wine in a box!
Taking risks, creating something new, destroying things, making big changes in the world, or at least trying to. Competition certainly is a part of it.
Integrity, and living up to your word. Being willing to do things the hard way and doing what’s right even if it makes people give you shit.
It's either nothing or almost everything they do.
Because there's no such a thing as masculine behavior or feminine behavior.
@DiegoO no it’s actually a nature instinct to be masculine if you're male,
Because male animals like lions n stuff act masculine, are they doing that because its “socially correct” or a “social construct” as u say? No.
Im a introvert with no friends, i dont give a flying fuck what people think of me so why would i act masculine just cos its a “social construct “ or “the socially acceptable way to act”?
Because i dont give a fuck about social rules, im a complete misfit... yet i still want to act masculine... u know why? Cos its natural for a male to wanna act masculine... nothing to do with social construct
Traditionally speaking?
Independence
Strength
Sexual Appetite
Aggression
Courage
The common things i see are that men are more goal oriented and have an instinct for problem solving. I think most guys are naturally like this with perhaps a few exeptions.
Leadership. Fortitude and Stoicism. Someone else's rock.
Bold
protect
strength
courage
leadership
dominate
conquerors
Truly masculine men want to succeed and make their own way in life.. they tend to be irritated if you help them “too much.” Lol
Knowing that "confidence is sexy, cockiness is not." That apply to women as well.
Being able to stay cool and calm in stressful and dangerous situations.
Feeling that they can cope with whatever comes up, be it a flat tire, a loose shingle or a software bug.
A sense of duty
Usually to God, country or family
thats why i like to feel, that becoming a man is a process, long and difficult to explain, but not so much the other way around
Self Respect
Dignity
Constant Improvement
Cultured Behavior
Can you expand on what you mean by “cultured” behavior?
Acting good manners, well read, learns constantly, keeps themselves in good appearance, not dressed like a slob treats people with respect, basically not acting like a scumbag contributing member to society
thanks. I’m glad you didn’t mean being “woke”.
Doing what you want to do not because someone else told you to but because you want to. "We are not mice we are men" lol
Actions that make you an expendable tool for women and society.
Not getting worked up over nothing...
Like I did
That's the polar opposite of a man.
Not afraid being themselves at least that’s what I believe.
Testosterone. Basic as it gets.
Entitlement and stubbornness
Did my opinion bother you?
You must know a thing or two about being immature as I can see.
The way you are treating me is just proof my opinion was right.
Have a good day.
Weak response. But it does highlight your hypocrisy. All about you and how "you're being treated." You know what that's called? Entitlement. Thought that was a masculine thing.
And if I'm so immature, stop liking my responses on other answers. What does that say about you? Oh! That's right! It screams hypocrisy. At least you're consistent.
Hahahahahahahahaha
Hahahahahahahahaha
Bitch, please! I don't even know who you are. Daaaamn!!!
So ridiculous...🤦🏼♀️😂
Wow zeus66 you are a douche.
Dude just reading your shit to the lady.
You can play sides. I get it. You're weak and looking to be controlled. All good. I get it. You're 51 and consumed with the current events. You wanna be the mature one and show a little chivalry. Of course, without the facts and background. Plus, your dick size says you must submit, based simply on you believing dick size matters. Same old game with losers like you. Not an issue. Read any of my posts. They either provide quality insight (for which she has given me best male opinion and superb opinion), or they stand up to feeble responses like yours. Trust me, you'll give up real fast when you see how relentless I am on weak sheeple like you. You can try. But I'll just shred your pathetic response apart.
Respond if you dare.
You are just proving my point asshole. Regardless if i am 51 or 21, you would still be the asshole here.
Dude, she ain't my lady.
@Zeus_66 - My insecurities? You are the won who started trash talking to her. Seem you have issues with women who think for themselves.
@michael1469
Don't waste your words with this person. He's nothing.
Thanks for being kind.
Welcome @Desconhecida
I'm such a "nothing," she keeps liking my opinions and marking them best or superb.
Glad you have your beta male, Michael. You need him for your justification for man hating. But I promise you'll be the first to ask me to help when you need help. I won't be there when the wolves come to feast upon you. Best of luck.
by the way @zeus_66 I don't select your opinions. The algorithm does. Idiot.
Ok and in reverse too. I got your back ;)
havin' balls
Tall
Not being woke for starters.
Women are more competitive than men
Being a jerk basically 😂
Why is being a jerk considered to be manly?
@Tonytoutouni123 Stereotypical "man's features" are pretty much the same as those of jerks.
@BlackCatBone
namely?
It is an annoying reminder
Peeing their name in the snow the best.
Precisely
a man being a normal man
Supportive protective
Athleticism, protective, strong
Farting in bed
Aggressiveness
