Does my male teacher have a crush on me or am I over thinking it? Please I need to know?

Question

Whenever I walk into his class he always   says hi, (my name) with a big smile on his face. He does this to a few other people but when I come into his class, his smile is bigger and he asks if I’m alright. Then, in class he’s always staring at me. One time, we were watching a movie and then when I turned to look at him he was at first staring then when he saw me look at him he looked away fast. He always picks on me during class, more than the others. Keep in mind, I’m a quiet student and work hard. When he’s describing things to the class he’s always looking at me and smiling and going red. During class, he always comes up to me and asks me questions about what I think about the subject. ALWAYS. He does to others but he does it to me more. My friends sit right next to me and he asks me more questions. Then, when I was leaving his class, he randomly said to me that “I was truly a pleasure to teach” and I got confused because it was so random. He didn’t say it to anyone else but me. This was before school closed for the pandemic. During home learning, I didn’t hand in my work on time and he would wait 2 weeks to text me why I haven’t texted it in. Then he wrote I was one of the most hardworking students in his class. What does this MEAN? I think I’m over exaggerating about this but I’m just really curious on what you think it means. Honestly I didn't read because you really need to stop thinking about this. Sure we have probably all crushed on some teacher but it also should never be anything more than a fantasy. It's not good for many reasons, you are very young and you have a lot of hormones going through you now and at the same time your brain is developing. If anything were to become reality it's him taking advantage of you even if you wanted it to happen. He is also in a position of power over you and that's a whole other aspect to it.

Keep your fantasy but don't try to persue it.

I don't think he necessarily has a crush on you, but he may see you as his favorite student because you're a diligent individual. He's just polite and respectful and sees a bright future ahead of you. He recognizes you are striving to do your utmost and appreciates it. Furthermore, I don't think he's got a crush on you once again, though, he's probably friendly because you're really putting a lot of time and effort into his class.

He is your teacher. There is a legit age difference and frankly there's a good chance you are reading this whole situation the way you want to read it.

It's not about whether he likes you or not, you seem to have a crush on him and hence you are probably thinking this.

I think he likes you. Even if he finds you a great student, it's weird how he goes out of his way like that to make you feel better and how he's always looking at you and everything. Too many signs

You may be showing signs he’s seen before that concern him maybe the beginnings of depression or being to closed off to making friends or interacting with others. So he’s putting in extra effort

He is just happy to have a hard working student who is engaged in her work. You are way too young for him to have a crush on you. You are still a child, and that is how he sees you.
