It makes things more certain. The chase can be exhilarating, but can also be fake interest. There is definitely more assurance in straightforwardness, I don't chase women per se, but some are a tough nut to crack. I prefer straightforwardness over games any day. However, if I'm pheromonally attracted I could pursue her for a while if she felt so inclined.
