It's not a must but it's kinda the right thing to do, seeing as she's probably paid a lot in travel expenses to visit you and gone to all that effort to take time out her day to travel to see you. Its fair but you make that effort feel appreciated and make her see you as a nice person.

Hmmm, well im gonna assume this is a date and if this is the first time meeting id say the guy should always pay the first time around even if the its all gender equity these days. If your both meeting up after more than one date the bill should be spilt.

If she's staying at your place, obviously you'd have to cook for her or order takeaway.

Burger King always but if you're early stages of dating i would not recommen fast food places. Their loud, dirty and crowded. Your better off going to a cafe like Costa or something

Well yes that's the least he could do if she made the effort to travel a long time. Even McDonalds or subway is better than nothing, but it depends on her taste. Maybe she could prefer to eat something else, I think the best is to ask her what she would like to eat, or at least suggest an alternative.

I don't know how much "far" is... for like 10 or 15 miles I would say the "choices" listed are ok but if it is 50 miles or more... WTF !! She travelled - He should provide her with a *decent* lunch! In my country that would be true for any guest, not merely girls he is interested in !!!

At the very least, yes. I normally put people up and feed and entertain them (not super expensively) when they come far to see me, but it also depends on your relationship with them.

Yeah it doesn't make sense but it happened that the girl refused lunch. I think this is v. odd. I'd have just taken her to lunch anyway as she'd have to come along. To me a refusal doesn't mean a guy should go hungry.
