Why do guys get so mad when you turn them down?

i mean like, a few guys were hitting on me, and just getting carried away with messaging me. so I said I'm not interested can you please stop ? they freaked, they all went from calling me so cute and adorable to an ugly **** and that I was fat and that I was raised badly.

Well, before I grew out of it, when I got rejected, I used to start asking "why" and demanded a valid reason to the very depths of it.. well, I never called them names, but I DID act like a total asshole.

Reason? Apparently, you know all that princessy bullcrap about how a girl wants a perfect guy to ask them out and walk away into a sea of oblivious happiness and be happy forever and get married and crap?

Yeah, well there's a male equivalent of this false ideal. It goes like this, you find a girl who you like, you ask her out, she will be happy that you have and she will, and you'll be in love and live together forever happily.

The point is, unless you realize this nonsense is actually bullsh-t, your selection will reek of egocentrism and will assume the girl is obligated to say "yes" - as why would she say "no"?

(Sidenote: I used to make up theories on how "love" is most likely mutual because it's based on hormonal attraction, and also that it is possibly the result of fate. It's stupid, really.)

A lot of guys can't handle rejection. Sad, but true, they are used to having their way, especially the ones with money; they take it as in insult when they are turned down.

They've got thin skins and don't know how to deal with getting rejected other than being an asshole to the girl that rejected them. Just ignore them, they're being dumbasses.

because many guys feel entitled to girls they hit on, and when you don't go for it, they feel as if something they deserved has been taken from them.

protip. because I have been guilty of getting pissed about this. the sooner you tell a guy that starts getting flirty that you don't like him in that way. the less mad he'll be. because its less time wasted and he'll have had less time emotionally to grow attached to you. don't let him play prince charming for 3 months and then say no thanks. he'll think he got screwed.
