You'll find it's more often women who are disturbed by it and complain about it. Of course, many women are totally fine with it, but some women are - or at least pretend to be - deeply offended by it, mostly, I think, because they are jealous about any attention that woman might get from men.
For a lot of women, if they see another woman "using her body" for attention, whether it's how she moves, how she's dressed, or whatever, they see that as direct competition to themselves, and they instantly get enraged with jealousy, but knowing that jealousy is a bad look, they spin it as being offended, and as slut-shaming.
I'm not saying that there aren't men who do this - there are - but if you ask women who have nursed in public, they'll tell you that the majority of the time, if someone complained or made a scene about it, it was another woman.
I know that I've heard MANY women - even some of my own friends - talk badly of women who nurse in public, and I've had to call them out for it.
Obviously, it's the most natural thing there is, and seeing a titty isn't going to cause irreparable harm to anyone, so people need to relax and mind their own business and quit making a big deal about something that is NOT a big deal.

Well I think this has settled the men are only afraid of the nipples question.
I think the reason is, it is sexual, because boobs, and also a beautiful moment of life. Everyone naturally looks at babies.
But you can't look at it because that is very peverted. Or think about it because it is sexual, because boobs, but you are sexualising a situation with a baby.
People are distributed because we normally only view breasts as sexual and then there is an unusual change in context.
I have never seen a woman breast-feeding other than my ex so I can't do from experience, I don't know if I would be distributed.

People are offended by everything now a days, I have no issues with it at all. Back in my chef days we used to be open about letting mothers breast feed in the pub as everyone needs to eat. We even used to offer them a coffee or tea while sitting there. It's natural and people need to accept that

I think it's natural to breastfeed wherever it is, the mother should be more concerned about feeding her baby than searching for a place to hide.
But some people who has patriarchal sexual opinions think that breastfeeding is a sexual act and think that it's indecent. In my opinion it's just plane ignorance.
Some others feel uncomfortable if a friend or close family member do it. I'd say either stop prying on their breasts or you find a place to hide in such a case

So it doesn't bother me when woman are covered. But it does bug me a bit uncovered. Boobs are generally sexual objects. I know a lot moan they not, but lets be real, girls use boobs ALL the time. Just cover it up, that's all.

I believe it is do to the fact that most men have a difficult time identifying the emotion And it is even more difficult for them to express through words which emotion it is and why they're feeling it. With that said, when a man sees a baby breast feeding in public, their attention will automatically be drawn to the breast, which my arouse them. Then seeing the baby second would probably make them ashamed of being aroused. This is only a theory mind you.

If the girl is covering herself good and nothing can be seen than i don't have a problem, some girls needs to understand that female boobs are sexual private parts and not only her nipples...
The husband must help his wife if she had to breastfeed the baby in public and assures safety and privacy for his wife and baby...

The question should be why are so many people disturbed with public breastfeeding. So it seems that the number of women who have chosen to breastfeed has greatly diminished therefore we have seen the number of women who are feeding in public decrease and since so many people have never been exposed to the most natural act between mother and child, feeding them. What the other side that must be examined to answer your query is the emphasis on breasts being solely associated to sexual activities that most people especially men are made uncomfortable when they are exposed to a woman who is feeding her baby.
Because a lot of men hold those conservative values. I'm OK with breastfeeding in public, but I'm not OK with changing diapers in public. The question I have is why is it bad for a woman to breastfeed her baby in public but drinking milk from another animal's titty perfectly fine (I'm not vegan by the way).
I am not offended or disturbed by it. I would rather be around a thousand happy babies than one unhappy one. It could be something that was taught to some when the were young that mom breast feeding was a private thing. It could also be that the guy doesn't want any one looking at his wife while she is doing that even though she is covered very well. Those are just my thoughts. It could be something different than that for other people to be triggered by it.
The most logical way of thinking as to why they may find it disturbing would be that they see boobs as a sexual thing. And by women feeding their babies publicly using their breasts. They somehow tie that to the sexuality of boobs. In their mind it clashes and makes them feel weird so they get angry.

Well, a lot of people look at breast from a sexual point of view, for them breasts are sexual in nature. But when people see women breastfeeding, they don't want any sexual thoughts to come up as it is a time of feeding their child and its a very motherly issue. So most people avoid it or are disturbed by it is because they don't want anything sexual to come up in their mind while they are breast feeding, it would just make them feel horrible.
IMHO, it comes from religious dogma in which a women is expected to remain completely covered while out in public which, unfortunately, continues to this day. Hence the covering up or disgusted looks a mother gets while feeding her child because a woman exposing any bare skin is "sinful." Bullshit is my response.
People are so weird about the human body. I don't get it. I don't understand why men get freaked out about breastfeeding, or talking about periods, or a number of other things that I haven't acted that way about since I was a dumb junior high kid.
Also... Jealousy! lol It's the only logical explanation! That baby has all the luck and they're just hatin'! lol
i guess they can't think about different perspectives and have their stubborn egoistic mindset and if a woman feeding a baby is unusual to themthey dont want to see it. It mostly is a "grumpy lonely people" thing...

I would say it's because it wasn't normalized I would say growing up. It's something women kept more indoors then outdoors. I personally don't have a problem because a baby got to eat and why make them wait.
