Guy's Behavior

Please can someone help decipher his motive? Does he want a relationship? Does he want something casual? Did he lose interest?

I've known this guy for just over a year, I work with him, he is a flirt and I think he has depression. I have heard a couple of stories about him liking other girls last year, but it not going anywhere. Since going back to work after lockdown, I have had a few things going on in my personal life. He has been even more flirty with me too. About a month ago I was getting stressed because of my manager and he asked me if I could go help him do something. When I got there he said 'You just seemed stressed out, I don't really need help but I thought I'd give you a break from him' I thought it was very sweet. We were then flirting away and he did make some rather suggestive jokes and I joked back 'getting desparate now are we?'. Anyways, that evening as we walked back he gave me this hug and said that if I ever wanted to talk 'I'm only a message away'. I looked up into his eyes and there was this tension, but we broke away. But then about 3 weeks later, I was stressed at work again and asked him to help me with a job. There was so much flirting at this point. After this, we started to walk back and as we walked through a staff area he said 'you ok?' and I said 'yeah' and he said 'do you want a hug?' and I said 'I always love a hug' and then we hugged and I looked up at him again and he smiled and rubbed noses he said 'that was cute' and then he went in for a full-on slow and passionate kiss. He pulled away and said 'oops' jokingly and I pulled him in again for another one. It was pretty mind blowing. We walked out like nothing happened though, but for the rest of the evening he was lingering. But since then, one of the others has spread a rumour that I was talking to someone else who I had a crush on and I believe he found out and has become a little withdrawn. I sent him a message the other day to ask how lockdown is going and he didn't hold much of a conversation, but then again he was never that chatty over text. I just don't know what to do or what his motive was?
