I came across a post about men and compliments, and made me remember my recent ex boyfriend. He had self-esteem issues. He was a wonderful guy and treated me well. I am a very transparent and generous person so I always gave him compliments like he was so handsome, intelligent, kind and had a big dick. He wasn't comfortable because he said only I told him those things (except the dick part), but he was thankful. I always wished he'd appreciate himself more. Now that we've broken up, I wonder if he still remembers those compliments that I gave him and what effects would they have on him, if ever?
It's nice to get compliments, But they are so rare that I never know how to react to them. But I remember them when they happen and don't forget them.
Depending on the guy, he may remember the nice things you said!

I would take it in. Yes, I would remember her for it.

I'm sure it would feel great to get a compliment from a female in person where I can actually see and feel the sincerity behind it, I'd thank her for it but I can't say I'd always remember her for it, I would remember the compliment though.
A guy will remember compliments all the way to his grave because it hardly ever happens
I hate being complimented
