Diffrentiating between a socially awkward guy from one with bad/sleazy intentions?

Socially/awkward shy types come off as a-holes, jerks, playing mind games when they are just insecure and want to love someone.

Whereas a schemer who has some ulterior motive (sexual/financial/social gain) isn't the boisterous "player" type may use subtle tactics. How to snuff them out?

You need to watch their actions and see if it lines up with what they say. If a guy has good intentions towards you, you'll see it in how he treats you. If he's awkward, he'll make some effort to be sweet and kind to you.

For a little while but it won't last for long. They're pretty inpatient, so if you aren't sure, take things real slow. A decent guy won't mind waiting and will respect your boundaries, a sleazy guy won't.

That's up to you and what you're comfortable with. If you feel like he's pushy about something that you're not into, tell him you're not ready or it's not your speed. You don't have to give him a time line for when you will be. A decent guy will respect that.
